Scotland – France, so it’s this Saturday at 3:15 p.m. at Murrayfield in Edinburgh. After a success over Italy, then Ireland two weeks ago, this is a third match of the Six Nations Tournament, perhaps pivotal in view of a final victory for the tricolors. Coach Fabien Galthié and his staff have communicated the group selected for this match. Last team still undefeated in the competition, France can still succeed in the Grand Slam, which it has not achieved since its last victory in the Tournament in 2010.
In total, two changes have been made from the side that beat Ireland (30-24). Winger Gabin Villière, injured in the face, is the only one of the 15 holders against the XV of Clover absent for this first trip of the Blues in the 2022 Tournament. In addition, Yoram Moefana was moved to the wing of the XV of France, leaving his place in the center to Jonathan Danty, back from injury.
No surprise in the rest of the composition since the hinge of Toulouse, Antoine Dupont and Romain Ntamack, is renewed for the tenth time of the Galthié era.
Dulin “reservist”
- Uini Atoniothe right pillar of Stade Rochelais will celebrate against Scotland his 42nd selection. Uini remains the coach’s first choice for post 3. He will turn 32 on March 26.
- Gregory Alldritt, the 3rd maritime line will celebrate its 29th selection. With François Cros, and Charles Ollivon, Grégory Alldritt is the most used player in the 3rd row under the Galthié era.
- Jonathan Danty. With a 13th cape in sight, the yellow and black 3/4 center is the “least experienced” of the three in the France team, but has been used more and more since its big performances last fall. He was notably part of the group that beat New Zealand (40 to 25)
- Brice Dulin him, is outside the group, as an additional player. The rear of La Rochelle will still be part of the trip to Scotland in case of injury.
