Fes’toie is making a comeback! After two years of absence, the goose festival is in full swing this weekend of March 5 and 6 in Sarlat.
On the program: visits to farms, treasure hunts, cooking workshops, events in the town centre, demonstrations of cutting up geese… Saturday evening, the famous Bodeg’oie gathered people in Place de la Liberté. Under a marquee and accompanied by two bandas, Sarladais and tourists were able to taste a goose-based plate: sausage, duck breast, rillettes, goose aiguillettes and Sarladaise potatoes.
Sunday, the party continues, including a fat market and the famous goose meal. 900 guests will meet to taste 15 goose dishes.
