A woman cutting a lock of her own hair. The photo is simple, but the message is strong. This gesture of anonymous women comes in support of Iranian women demonstrating for their freedom for several weeks. With all these photos, the MRAP of Saint-Nazaire (Movement against racism and for friendship between peoples) wants to create a symbolic and militant mosaic.
“He [le MRAP] opposes, among other things, any injunction, whatever it may be, concerning their dress, their body (right to abortion). He can only stand in solidarity with Iranian women in their struggle to obtain the freedom to live as they wish.”explains the movement in a press release.

50 photos of women in a week
In Saint-Nazaire, the MRAP set itself the challenge of creating the largest possible mosaic of photos of women cutting a lock of hair. In one week, 50 women, mainly from Saint-Nazaire, have already responded to this call. To participate, all you have to do issend their photo to [email protected].
