In Poland, nine people arrested for sabotage on behalf of Moscow, announces the Prime Minister

Suspected of acts of sabotage on behalf of the Russian intelligence services, nine people were recently arrested in Poland, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on Monday, May 20. “We currently have nine suspects arrested, charged, who were directly involved“, explained the head of government in an interview with TVN24 television.

These people are accused of “beatings, arson and attempted arson“.”These include Ukrainian, Belarusian and Polish citizens.“, underlined the head of government, adding that sometimes these people were recruited from criminal circles. Furthermore, Donald Tusk announced public information concerning sabotage actions in Poland in the coming days.

According to Donald Tusk, sabotage of Russian services concerns not only Poland, but other European countries such as Lithuania and Latvia. Among the examples cited, the Prime Minister mentions an attempted fire at a paint factory in western Poland. In mid-May, the Polish Prime Minister revealed strengthening of Polish intelligence services following Moscow’s activities aimed at destabilizing the situation in Poland.
