Residents of the Maritime provinces see the extent of the damage caused by the storm Fionaand it’s time to clean up the affected neighborhoods.

In Halifax, several areas of the city were hard hit, with several trees littering the ground. In the Cape Breton area of eastern Nova Scotia, two municipalities have declared states of emergency.
Over 200,000 customers are without power in the Maritimes. Hydro-Québec teams were called in to restore power as quickly as possible.
In the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, in Channel-Port-aux-Basques, Fiona’s passage was difficult for the residents; houses along the shoreline have been washed away by the waves. The pictures are impressive.
Nova Scotia has requested military assistance to help overcome the devastating effects caused by the post-tropical storm. Justin Trudeau responded favorably to the request.
