IN PICTURES – The centenary match of Aviron Bayonnais FC against Didier Deschamps’ Variétés CF

This is the amount brought together by Didier Deschamps (the coach of the French football team), Jean-Pierre Papin, Robert Pirès, Christian Karembeu, Bixente Lizarazu, Alain Giresse, Dominique Rocheteau or even the rugby player Dimitri Yachvili. To celebrate 100 years of Aviron Bayonnais Football, training club
of the former captain of the French team, world champion in 1998, all these beautiful people took part in a gala match at Jean Dauger, against Aviron Bayonnais, in the jersey of the Variétés Club de France.

The 2-1 victory of Varieties Club de France, is anecdotal. “We are happy to have been able to raise this sum for the children who suffer” revealed Jean-Michel Larqué, former midfielder from PSG and Saint-Etienne. Indeed, this sum must be donated to the benefit of associations “Yellow pieces

“, which works to improve the living conditions of hospitalized children, as well as those of their parents. Nearly 6,000 spectators met at Jean Dauger, usually the home of Aviron Bayonnais, and therefore contributed, by buying their ticket, at the kitty collected this Wednesday, October 19.
