The Sûreté du Québec has not reported any accident, but a road exit appears to have occurred on kilometer 196 southbound, when an SUV left its lane.

Teams from Transports Québec were deployed to spread abrasive on the roadway.
Road conditions are also difficult in the Laurentides wildlife reserve due to winds, blowing snow and the presence of ice on the ground. Alex Martin, who was supposed to go to Quebec, had to turn back for safety reasons. He saw three cars parked in the shoulder lane.
