IN PICTURES – Large hailstones fell on several Mayenne towns this Monday, September 5

Hailstorms fell this Monday, September 5 at the end of the afternoon on several Mayenne towns. Many France Bleu Mayenne listeners sent us photos of the hailstones picked up on the ground and the damage they caused. The municipalities of La Croixille, Marcillé-la-Ville, Saint-Baudelle, Saint-Cyr-en-Pail but also Changed have, for example, been affected.

Material damage to be deplored

According to the first testimonies of residents, material damage was caused by hailstones, sometimes as big as ping-pong balls: cracked windshield and car hood, skylights and broken garden table.

The hailstorm caused a lot of damage to cars but also to the skylights of houses.
