In pictures – Laetitia Casta, Corinne Masiero, Julie Ferrier… when the Césars are disturbed by nudity!

While this evening, February 23, 2024, the organizers will be vigilant to ensure that no one goes on the stage of the Olympia, without having been invited, under penalty of cutting the broadcast on Canal +, we return in images to these moments of embarrassment, fear and sometimes glamor, which marked the history of the ceremony.

Julie Ferrier at the 2009 Césars:
Like Sophie Marceau in Cannes, she pretended to reveal a breast without realizing it. When presenting the prize for best short film, Julie Ferrier’s dress had slipped, revealing her right breast. In the audience, actress Emma Thompson appeared completely distraught, sitting next to Dustin Hoffman. She had run on stage to dress a slightly confused Julie Ferrier, her back to the theater.

Lætitia Casta at the 2010 Césars:
She wanted to pay tribute to the designer Yves Saint Laurent for whom she paraded during her lifetime, and who left us in 2008. Lætitia Casta wore this completely transparent dress to present her César to Niels Arestrup. A daring outfit which did not escape the master of ceremonies Gad Elmaleh, on the stage of the Théâtre du Châtelet. And even her hairstyle couldn’t distract attention from her pretty chest…

Leïla Bekhti at the 2011 Césars:
We passed very close to the nipple exit. During the 36th César ceremony, at the Théâtre du Chatelet, Leïla Bekhti, nominated for her role in “All That Shines”, was so upset to hear her name for the best female hopeful, that she fell while joining the stage . Her slightly loose Saint Laurent dress threatened to fall off at any moment, but the actress held on and protected her chest with the award.

The hopes of cinema at the 2012 Césars:
That year, many of them appeared naked, but that was expected. The Clip of Revelations 2012, by Jean-Baptiste Mondino featured Golshifteh Farahani, Alison Wheeler, Adèle Haenel, Céline Sallette, François Civil, Pierre Niney and Nicolas Maury in black and white, “Body and souls”. Naked, they recited a sublime text written by Laurent Bartillat, screenwriter of “The man who wanted to live his life” in front of the camera.

Corinne Masiero at the 2021 Césars:

This is the scene which has been controversial for 3 years now, and which has given the organizers a cold sweat. That evening, Corinne Masiero arrived on stage in Donkey Skin, before revealing Carrie’s bloody nightgown at the Devil’s Ball, and finally undressing completely. “Who wants the skin of Roger the intermittent? Because now, we are like that, completely naked…” she had estimated in the face of the state of Culture. Under the eyes of Marina Foïs, the interpreter of Captain Marleau had displayed the slogan “No Culture, No Future” on his naked body…
