The Wire (Bugged)
About Crave
“It’s my favorite show ever. This is an HBO series that presents a very, very harsh reality: that of the street gangs in Baltimore. It’s so realistic that it almost looks like a documentary. Creators trust the intelligence of the viewer. This is what is remarkable: we are taken for intelligent people. It’s overwhelming without ever being flashy. It is never unnecessarily spectacular. It came out in the early 2000s, but in my opinion, it remains unmatched. You have to bow to what is almost perfect. ”

“I am very hard on Quebec fiction. In general, I find that we lack daring, I find that we are late… And this is the reason why young people abandon our series; we are not daring enough. But when I looked This is how i love you, I was like, “Wow! We dare to do business, we are wild, we are crazy, we mix genres: absurd humor, police, violence… ”I found the dialogues hallucinating. [L’auteur] François Létourneau has an incredible sense of dialogue. It’s not just a good Quebec series; it’s a good series, period. International caliber. ”

“It’s the funniest show I’ve seen. The UK version is two seasons of six half-hour episodes, and that’s it. It’s a cheeky series. Ricky Gervais is one of the funniest guys around. He’s very smart. He doesn’t have a tongue-in-cheek language. He is not afraid to use jokes that are inconvenient. In our too politically correct times, that’s something I really appreciate. I watched the American version [offerte sur Netflix]. I found it very funny and very good. For a remake, it’s pretty damn good, but it’s a lot wiser and nicer than the original. ”
