Parisians are delighted on Friday December 31 to be able to celebrate the New Year without a curfew. However, they will have to follow a few instructions for their celebrations.

Some Parisians are celebrating the end of the year 2021 in bars and restaurants on Friday December 31. “There are already people on the terrace, Parisians who have chosen to come and enjoy this New Year’s Eve and the mild temperatures, despite the sanitary restrictions”, says journalist Julie Vitaline, in duplex from Place de la Contrescarpe (Paris), in the early evening.

Party-goers, however, will have to respect which rules: “forbidden to consume standing in bars”, and an “compulsory closure of all bars at 2 hours maximum”, continues the journalist. The owners of the establishments will therefore have to show authority. Nevertheless, “everyone is delighted that there is no curfew and that they can get together for this last evening of the year”, concludes Julie Vitaline.
