In Orléans, 800 homes without heating and hot water due to a broken pipe

A pipe rupture occurred in Orleans near the media library, at boulevard Rocheplatte, on the night of Monday to Tuesday, in the heating network of the SODC (Orléans heat distribution company), indicates the City of Orléans.

800 households concerned

This break led total shutdown of heating and domestic hot water in the connected buildings, which are located boulevard Rocheplatte, boulevard Jean Jaurès, Madeleine district, Porte Madeleine, and rue des Carmes as well as in the city center. The two large public high schools, Jean-Zay and Pothier, are concerned, as well as 800 households in total.

“Investigations are underway to identify the origin of the disaster and emergency work is scheduled to restore a gradual resumption of service”indicates the SODC, without a precise timetable.
