The Cité Educative d’Amiens Nord system wants to encourage young people to register on the electoral lists before the deadline which is fast approaching. March 2 online and March 4 at the town hall while the first round of the presidential election will take place on April 10. The Cité Educative supports young people up to the age of 25 in a territory known as “priority” on issues of education, health and citizenship.
Its mission is to explain how to register on these lists and to remember that it is not always automatic, if you have not been listed or if you have moved, for example. The Cité Educative therefore published a video on social networks in mid-February, sticking up posters in front of schools or associative structures that welcome young people in northern Amiens, such as the Alco social center and the youth activity center of the Odyssey.
It’s important to go and vote so I checked before I was registered
In Amiens, the students are indeed more or less aware of this stage. “I’ve been registered for a while now, I received a little letter from the town hall so everything is good“, explains for example Sarah. Some are even very far-sightedlike Lisa: “I checked last week precisely because I was wondering if I was registered or not and I was able to do it on the internet.“.

Other students met in Amiens explain that they have precisely registered on the electoral lists a few weeks ago, in anticipation of this deadline, and mainly via the internet. For others, it’s a lot of blurry. “I don’t know if I’m registered, I didn’t find out. I didn’t think it was that early by the way but I’ll take a look“, assures this law student.
