The New Eco every morning on France Bleu Mayenne, focuses on the economy and initiatives in our department. Meeting this Wednesday with Laurie Santier, a 27-year-old woman from Saint-Poix. This professional photographer offers a rather unusual concept: have your picture taken with farm animals, including cows. It works for newlyweds or for a family shoot. Laura Santier wanted to combine her two passions: photography and animals.
Show cattle elegance
“I have been passionate about these animals since I was little and I decided to highlight the relationship between them and the breeder. They are the animals that make their living. I offer souvenir photo sessions with cows that potentially mark the farms. These sessions are made to break the codes. Women in wedding dresses with animals for example“explains the photographer.
This style of animal photography is quite widespread already in the equine world. Laurie Santier gives pride of place to cattle. “They are animals as pretty as horses horse. I attend competitions so I am used to showcasing cows at exhibitions“ continues the young woman.

Team work
For these particular photography sessions, Laurie Santier travels with two or three people to ensure the safety of the models and the animals. She also always ensures the cleanliness of the premises. “We let them pose naturally or we help them a little by placing the legs or the tail so that it looks nice on the lens” she explains.
