“The principle is to provide the services of Restos du Cœur to people without physical mobility or isolated in deep rural areas” explain the leaders of the association in Mayenne who have therefore set up a mobile truck project in partnership with the Pays de la Loire region.
An itinerant truck in Nord-Mayenne, the Pays de Mayenne and the Pays de Meslay-Grez
The truck will be fully equipped and will travel through two territories. It will travel the roads of the Pays de Mayenne and the community of communes of Mont des Avaloirs, in the north of the department, and the Pays de Meslay-Grez, in the south. This new Restos du Coeur service will begin during the next winter campaign.
“A team will leave the Laval warehouse each week and will follow a route determined with the town halls under agreement. At each point, food aid and personal aid will be distributed in liaison with the local social services” specify the Restos du Coeur who are looking for this great solidarity initiative: a center manager, a supply manager, distributors, drivers.
