Saturday April 16, Emmanuel Macron was in a meeting in Marseille, where he arrived behind Jean-Luc Mélenchon. He wanted to propose a refoundation, with a much more ecological discourse than before the first round, to convince the undecided.

Saturday April 16, Emmanuel Macron was in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) with a specific idea: to seduce those who voted for Yannick Jadot, and especially for Jean-Luc Mélenchon. The candidate therefore took up one of the key themes of the leader of the Insoumis: ecological planning. “This concerns all areas, all sectors, all expenses, all equipment, all investments. The policy that I will pursue in the next five years will be ecological, or it will not be“, did he declare.

In Marseille, voters overwhelmingly voted for Jean-Luc Mélenchon in the first round, giving him more than 31% of the vote. Supporters of En Marche validate this outstretched hand. “I was really reassured that he said he was going to put in ecology because it’s our future, and there wasn’t enough ecology in the program“, believes one of them. The president-candidate also described Marine Le Pen as “climatosceptic“.
