In Limoges, the footbridge spans the A20 and now connects the Bastide to Puy-Ponchet

Work on the footbridge (between the Puy-Ponchet and Bastide districts) spanning the A20 motorway is underway this Sunday, October 9. The installation of the bridge had begun on the night of June 21, but a human error had caused the immediate stoppage of the site. Work to finalize this installation took place overnight from Saturday to Sunday. On the 130 meters of the bridge, it only needed 20 meters to push for the work to arrive at the Bastide. It is now done.

The highway remains all the same closed until tomorrow morning, Monday. Eiffage Metal workers, in charge of the construction of the footbridge, will lay three additional concrete slabs this afternoon. The goal is to cover the entire highway to secure the bridge.

Other nights of work are planned until mid-November, but Limoges Métropole ensures it, the A20 will be systematically closed at night.
