This Friday, June 3 marks the 100th day of Russia’s war in Ukraine. Meanwhile in kyiv, locals are trying somehow to enjoy their city and the spring. Nevertheless, they are very marked. “I think I will always be afraid for my personal safety,” Olga told Boris Loumagne, franceinfo’s special correspondent in kyiv. She now wants to enjoy all that life has to offer.
With this war, I’m beginning to appreciate the small, simple things that are the most important. Like waking up alive in the morning, being able to kiss the one you love…

After 100 days of war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky estimates that 20% of his territory is under the control of the Russian army. But “the victory will be ours”, he assures this Friday.
The second edition of the pride of the suburbs will parade this Saturday in Saint-Denis to defend LGBTQIA + rights. This year, the organizers are expecting 5,000 to 10,000 participants from all over Île-de-France. The objective for them: to encourage visibility and bring the demands of the queer community to working-class neighborhoods. “You can live being LGBTQIA+ in the suburbs without being attacked every day by Islamist delinquents, as some media can sometimes show”, says Yanis Khames, spokesperson for the pride of the suburbs, to Valentine Joubin, journalist at franceinfo who followed him in full tow.
