More gruesome discoveries. Eight women’s bodies have been found so far in a dumpsite in a slum south of Nairobi, Kenya’s acting police chief said on Sunday (July 14). The bodies “seriously dismembered” are “in various states of decomposition and were left in bags”Douglas Kanja said at a news conference, adding that investigations were ongoing.
Kenya’s acting police chief said the first six bodies were found on Friday and body parts of two more women were found on Saturday. “I would like to assure people that we are committed to conducting transparent, thorough and prompt investigations.”he said. Douglas Kanja also called for the cooperation of residents in the investigation “so that we can bring to justice the perpetrators of these heinous acts”.
