The 2,500 giant light installations of the Blagnac Lantern Festival come to life this Wednesday, December 1st. Every evening from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. until February 2, 2022, the Parc du Ritouret and its more than 8 hectares lights up for this show created by Chinese artisans from Zigong, a Chinese city famous for its lantern festival.
Serenity and happiness
Patrice Gausserand, the organizer of the festival, president of MAG Conseil, promises visitors “gaiety, serenity and happiness”. For the former mayor of Gaillac, where the festival had taken place until then, this show “hypnotizes people” regardless of their age. In all, spectators will be able to discover 45 paintings, he explains, from the one that represents the Chinese astrological signs, to that of the dinosaurs, through the nod to aeronautics and to the giant dragon posed on Lake.
“It is too beautiful !”
From the youngest to the oldest, the lucky ones who had the opportunity to discover the show in preview are unanimous: “stars in their eyes”. If children prefer animals instead, adults emphasize the a nod to the city of Blagnac, with two landscapes around aeronautics.
