IN IMAGES – Handball: for the 10th anniversary of Frega 12, Chambéry surprised by Nîmes

A spoiled party. For the tenth anniversary of the Frega 12, a famous group of supporters of Savoyard handball players, Team Chambé lost on the wire against Nîmes (28-29). In the stands, the Frega has put the small dishes in the big ones to blow out its ten candles: tifos, banners. All the supporters wore red t-shirts on their backs and, as usual, sang for the 60 minutes of the game. At the end of the match and despite the defeat, the Savoyard players came to the stands to thank them.

“As they say, we don’t know anything about handball, has fun recalling Mathieu, founding member. We love football, but we’re here to cheer and party. Every year, we wonder if we stop or not, and every year we start again. These football lovers are now understood by other supporters, to the delight of Gaëtan, also at the origin of La Frega: “They understood our delirium, that we are here to party, that we are not violent. Everyone is receptive. My two children aged 5 and 7 are with me. It’s the ultra movement football in hand mode.”
