How to prevent violence, in and around stadiums? In Haute-Garonne, initiatives are taken, such as the production of a clip to raise awareness among the greatest number of people.

Jean Barret, coach at AS Muret (Haute-Garonne), has been a football educator for four years. Very quickly, he had to face the aggressiveness of some parents on the edge of the field. “We see them every weekend, parents who are really behind the team and who curse behind the referee”he confides. “It happened to me to be insulted, on the verge of aggression”, he continues. Some parents recognize inappropriate words.

To denounce incivilities, a clip, baptized don’t touch my football, was produced by the Mon Cinématographe agency. It will be accompanied by an awareness campaign. “If out of ten parents, there are one or two who understand that their attitude has no reason to be, that’s already a winner”believes Marco Sentein, president of the Haute-Garonne Football District, who shares his desire to “pacifying the land” and of “Give football back to children”.
