A municipal employee died, seriously injured by gunfire, on Sunday, September 8, following a traffic accident in front of the town hall of Grenoble (Isère), according to the city prosecutor. The police are currently working to identify the shooter. The Grenoble city officer was shot twice in the chest and arm, according to a police source at France Télévisions.
According to the same source, the author of the shots was the driver of an Audi, who violently hit a Peugeot 208, before trying to leave the scene of the accident. The town hall employee thus had a verbal altercation with the driver of the Peugeot 208 to try to dissuade him from leaving the scene, without success. As he left, the driver of the Audi opened fire on the employee, about fifteen meters away, according to a police source.
