In Grau d’Agde (Hérault), fishermen return from 15 hours spent at sea. When sorting the fish, Kevin, Alain and Jean-Marie receive visitors. Adeline guides visitors behind the scenes of the city’s fish auction. Often accused of emptying the seas of their resources, fishermen lend themselves to the game of this encounter. “If these people come, they will see us differently“, assures Alain adelsailor.

Silence prejudices by informing: Phone is the objective of these public visits to the auction. “They only fish during the day, not on weekends and holidays, and this year, only 170 days”explains Adeline. On the quay, another world opens up to the public. Before arriving on the plate, the goods pass by the auction room. Wholesalers, restaurateurs and fishmongers fight to buy fish at the best price. Visitors watch the scene.
