Several cities have decided to honor the memory of the victims of Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel.
Hand-drawn portraits of their loved ones and the inscription: bring them home on their T-shirt. This morning, two families of hostages went to the Élysée with a message for Emmanuel Macron. “We need help from the whole world and particularly from Emmanuel Macron because they are French citizens”explains Sharon Kalderon, sister-in-law of Oger Kalderon, hostage. “I hope he does everything in his power to bring all the hostages home,” said a family member of one hostage.
In Lyon a crowd gathered this evening, brandishing the same portraits. Those of the 97 hostages still in the hands of Hamas. A common emotion and a call not to forget them, one year after their kidnapping. “They need to know that we don’t forget them, that we do our best to help them, it’s not a big deal to be there after all”explains a participant. Candles lit in La Rochelle, a minute of silence and prayers for the hostages, but also in memory of the deceased victims.
