In Dordogne, 9,000 homes are without electricity after trees fell on high voltage lines, reports France Bleu Périgord on Saturday April 27. The Dordogne is one of eight departments in the south-west placed on orange alert for storms by Météo-France until Saturday evening.

Enedis agents are mobilized on site, but with the severe weather expected to continue into the evening, they are progressing slowly, indicates France Bleu Périgord. Power should be restored everywhere by Sunday evening.

Several trains were also canceled since a high voltage line fell on the tracks west of Sarlat. Five trains were canceled. Traffic should return to normal this Saturday evening. Some roads are also closed due to falling trees on the roadway.
