This company of 15 people is based in Dijon, it is specializing in bespoke furniture. She has just developed a material that mixes mortar and resin. This is called “Minero” and allows you to make large structures with reduced weight. These tables, these chairs, these decorative elements can be suitable for an apartment as well as for a terrace.

“Everything is designed here in Dijon. We are able to produce, for example, 3 or 4 meter tables with the design we want” explains Sylvain Quidant, the co-founder of this company. “As a result, it appeals to customers who are looking for something unique. For example, we have sold furniture for beautiful houses in Corsica or on the Côte-d’Azur, and recently also worked on the fitting out of a large house in Dijon.” As in all sectors, singularity is paid for “Count 2,000 euros for low tables, around 5,000 euros for this table which is more than 3 meters long” specifies the boss in front of the furniture that dresses the showroom of his company.

Cogitech was born in Dijon 20 years ago, and specializes in custom-made furniture, in wood, steel, aluminum. “The mortar and our Minéro material allow us to present a product with a better ecological footprint” argues the co-founder.

“We achieve 70% of our turnover from export, this furniture is popular all over the world and one of our last orders is going to Jamaica. On this “Minéro” range, we expect to achieve 500,000 to 600,000 euros in sales figures. business this year, which will allow the creation of 3 jobs, both in production and in design. We do almost no direct sales. Our furniture is found on specialized online sales platforms.”
