The France team is not advancing. Beaten by Denmark on Friday (1-2), the Blues continued with an unconvincing draw against Croatia (1-1), Monday June 6 in Split, for their second meeting in the League of Nations.
At this rate, Didier Deschamps will have nightmares thinking about the alignment of his defense. In a system with three defenders or four – the choice made by the coach on Monday – the France team fails to manage its back and the spaces it can leave there. This was the case twice against Denmark, once again against Croatia on Monday.
While the Blues were heading for a victory with little arms at the Poljud stadium after the goal of Adrien Rabiot (52nd), it was Benjamin Pavard who failed twice on the same action, on bad alignments. In the wake of the action, Jonathan Clauss, barely entering the game, mowed down Andrej Kramaric in the box and the latter converted the penalty (83rd). Panic then took over at the end of the match in the French defense, which finally came out well with a draw.
