In Creuse, Jeannie Longo crowned at the French Masters road cycling championships

One more title. She has more than usual. Jeannie Longo, 63, the most successful rider in world cycling, adds a new line to her list. She is indeed crowned French champion in the women’s road race, during the Masters road cycling championships, taking place in Crocq in the Creuse. The sexagenarian wins alone, after a course of 15,450 km.

A solitary victory

Jeannie Longo will now join the peloton of the women’s Tour de France, which starts this Sunday, July 24 from the Champs-Élysées in Paris. No time to rest therefore for the sexagenarian, who created the excitement when she came to Crocq.

Nearly 800 runners

In total, nearly 800 runners take part in the France Masters road cycling championships this weekend in Crocq. Nearly 150 volunteers are also present to manage everything.
