During his concert on Wednesday evening, Anna Tsybuleva performed the Polonaise op.89 in C major from Beethoven, Sonata n° 3 op.5 in F minor by Brahms and several compositions by Chopin.

His unique sense of interpretation, of a fascinating intimacy, led the spectators into a very personal musical universe. The public present in the courtyard of the museum was spellbound. “It’s absolutely extraordinary, her strike force, her poetry, she doesn’t play anything cutesy, it’s exceptional”, enthuses a music lover. “I like to watch the passion in artists and she was passionate when she was performing.” reports another spectator.

Described by Gramophone Magazine as possessing “a musical intelligence and a keen sense of the keyboardAnna Tsybuleva found herself in the spotlight in 2015 when she won first prize at the Leeds International Piano Competition in England. Critically acclaimed for her performance, she was billed as “a pianist with a rare gift”.

In the context of the war between Russia and Ukraine, the artist measures the chance of being able to play again. Elsewhere, some of his compatriots had to cancel their concerts. “I am very lucky to have this opportunity to play, to share this musical art with the public because it is the most important thing for us”, assures the musician.

At 32, the Russian pianist performs on stages all over the world, including in Asia. Very inspired by nature, she feels great joy playing in Corsica. “Approaching Corsica by plane, I was dazzled, moved to tears seeing the island, for me it’s an audience to play for the Corsican public”, she confides.

An intimate atmosphere in a magical setting, for more than twenty years “Les Nuits du Piano d’Erbalunga” has been gaining in notoriety and quality. The organizers apply the same recipe to attract music lovers.

Alongside the biggest names in classical music, the festival also strives to highlight young talent. “We had some very “beautiful shots”, we played Kantorow who won the grand prize Tchaikovsky and the young people we took on before they had the big prizes and that is a source of pride for us”, rejoices Patrice Moracchini, organizer of the festival.

The Piano Nights continue until August 2, 2022 at the Erbalunga green theater.

On the program for Sunday July 31: Severin von Eckardstein; Tuesday, August 2: Martin James Bartlett
