After two months of confinement to fight the spread of Covid-19, the Chinese government eases restrictions in Shanghai on Wednesday 1er June.
Wednesday 1er June, after 61 days of strict confinement, the inhabitants of Shanghai (China) can finally leave their homes. “I didn’t think there would be so many of us, it’s weird to see so many people”, says a woman. The barriers, which blocked the streets and some house entrances, are removed. Residents were able to return to work, or to supermarkets, which are open again.
“It was difficult this quarantine, but at least I had my husband with me”, says a woman. In Shanghai, containment had been put in place on 1er April, which angered locals. Due to the zero Covid policy, patients had been placed in isolation centers, which are now closed. Shanghainese must now present a PCR test within 72 hours to go to a public place or to work.
