Gasoline prices show no signs of letting up, with the average price in Canada exceeding $2 per liter for the first time.

According to Natural Resources Canada, the average price of regular gasoline across the country hit $2.06 per liter on Monday, an all-time high.
The average jumped nine cents from the record high of $1.97 per liter set last week, and has risen about 30 cents per liter since mid-April.
Prices averaged about $2.34 per liter in Vancouver on Monday, while in Toronto the average was nearly $2.09 per litre. Edmonton, on the other hand, averaged just under $1.69 per litre.
Gasoline prices have been high since late February, when oil soared to around $100 a barrel after Russia invaded Ukraine. It jumped to over $110 a barrel last week.
Prices have also soared more recently as the reopening of the economy and the start of the travel season have led to strong demand for gasoline that refiners have a limited ability to satisfy.
