Arriving at a stop in Épron (Calvados), Philippe loses control. This resident does not understand the installation of the new panels. “There is no need to stop, for me. (…) We wonder if there are not records that want to be broken”, he cursed. A total of ten stops were placed in both directions of traffic, over 200 meters.
Priorities on the right not respected
Some drivers don’t even take the time to stop there. The panels were installed at the beginning of May. Eight of them have since been stolen. The markings on the ground are for the moment provisional, but could be the solution to the priorities on the right not being respected. “We have a request from local residents who could no longer leave their homes, it was our road developer who preferred to install stops at each intersection”explains Gérard Divier, the deputy mayor (SE) in charge of town planning.
