The city of Bourges was retained by the government as part of the educational cities this Saturday, January 29. Educational cities aim to “intensify the educational care of children and young people, before, during, around and after school”, indicates the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion.
They consist of a alliance of educational actors in priority neighborhoods from city policy, from parents to state services, through communities and associations. Through educational cities, the government intends “federate all the actors of school and extracurricular education, in the territories which need it the most and where the public means will be concentrated”.
