Saint-Valentin is also the name of a village in Berry. The capital of lovers attracts couples from all over the world, but also from the region.

Mireille and Jean, a couple from Issoudun (Indre), have already celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Their love story was immortalized on February 14, 1967 in Saint-Valentin, in Indre. From this event, the lovers had only one photo. More than 50 years later, they rediscover the images of the ceremony.

3,000 lovers expected for Valentine’s Day

The village located in Berry is the stronghold of lovers. The young couples of the surroundings jostle to unite. Today the engagement is linked, and the small town of 300 souls becomes a French Las Vegas (United States). The town now receives sweet words from lovers around the world. “At the time, it was in the intimacy”, remembers Mireille. This year again, 3,000 lovers will flock to Valentine’s Day this Tuesday, February 14, like Mireille and Jean at the time.
