The “Multi Prizes” festival is back in the park and the old textile city of Wesserling (Haut-Rhin). The fourth edition takes place this year until June 18 with always the same desire to bring together spectators around cultural proposals related to nature. On the program: exhibitions, shows, participatory workshops and concerts.
Inhabitants, culture and nature
A few hours before the start of the festivities, the organizers and the artists are fine-tuning the final settings. Like an artistic beehive, the large park by Wesserling and the various spaces of the former factory are hosting around twenty artistic projects this year. Among them, the visual artist Ugo Lange. His drawings question our relationship to the living and to nature, the way in which we are linked to each other. “We have a mural that stretches for meters, we have drawings that are going to be super detailed. We go from very large to very small. This exhibition is like an ecosystem”, he details.
Ugo Lange’s drawings dialogue with the sculptures and ceramics of Benjamin Bloch and Hugo Carton who invite us to consider the world in a way that is both poetic and concrete.
Conviviality and sharing
It’s been six years since the Collective of Possibilities took root in the former textile factory in the valley of Saint Amarin. An abandoned place that is once again teeming with ideas, driven by the fierce desire to share the territory’s art and culture. “It was to find a lung of creation and also to find something that is connected to a history of men. Here it was an old city-factory where 5,000 people came to gather to work together, that’s what we wanted to continue artistically”, explains Sandrine Pirès, coordinator of the Collective of Possibilities.
New this year is the artistic caravan of possibilities. A colorful little caravan that will crisscross the entire Saint-Amarin Valley to meet its inhabitants. This one will be roaming on the territory during the village festivals, on the markets the places of everyday life. It will offer mobile exhibitions, artistic performances or interactive shows
