Improvement of public transit during work on the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine bridge-tunnel

The authorities announced on Monday additions to public transit improvements in the Montreal region during repair work on the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel, in particular by offering a connection to health network personnel.

The Minister of Transport, Geneviève Guilbault, announces that at her request, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) will put line 811 into service with departures every 20 minutes during peak hours from the Radisson terminus.

This line will serve the Cadillac, Langelier and Assomption metro stations, before continuing its route to the Maisonneuve-Rosemont hospital, the Montreal Heart Institute, the Marie Enfant Rehabilitation Center of the CHU Sainte-Justine, the Santa Cabrini, the Polish Marie-Curie-Sklodowska CHSLD, the Marie-Rollet and Dante CHSLDs, the Cabrini Polyclinic and the Maison-Saint-Joseph accommodation centre.

And starting this Monday, the free RTL-462 shuttle, which offers three departures per peak period from the Touraine and Mortagne incentive parking lots, will extend its route to serve the institutions mentioned above, except for the Cabrini Polyclinic and the Maison-Saint-Joseph accommodation centre.

In addition, a departure is added on line 461 from the South Shore. Thus, from Monday to Friday, it will be possible to take the shuttle from 4:40 a.m. at the Touraine incentive parking lot, and from 4:47 a.m. at the Mortagne parking lot, for a scheduled arrival at the Radisson terminus at 4:58 a.m.

Starting January 9, the frequency of the exo-520 line will be increased to serve the Beloeil, Sainte-Julie and Radisson park-and-ride lots every 20 minutes instead of 30 minutes during peak hours. The delivery of two free tickets to users of certain shuttles continues until 18 December.
