Ottawa Senators owner Michael Andlauer named Steve Staios general manager and president of hockey operations on Sunday. Staios had held the position of interim CEO since the resignation of Pierre Dorion.
The Senators also announced the hiring of Dave Poulin as senior vice-president of hockey operations, in addition to entrusting the position of associate general manager to Ryan Bowness. Poulin and Bowness will both relate to Staios.
Poulin, a former forward who played 724 games in the NHL, held the roles of vice-president of hockey operations and general manager of the Marlies within the Toronto Maple Leafs organization from 2009 to 2014. He was also a recruiter for the Anaheim Ducks for two years.
Bowness already worked for the Senators as assistant general manager. He was the Penguins’ director of pro scouting for the previous three seasons.
