Monday, May 22, Thomas Ménagé, National Rally (RN) deputy for Loiret and spokesperson for the RN group in the National Assembly, was the guest of “4 Truths” on France 2. He notably returned to the three dead people during a shooting in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône), the day before, against a background of drug trafficking. “Emmanuel Macron had proposed a ‘Marseille en grand’ plan. The reality is that it’s ‘Marseille en sang’, that the plan did not work”he launched, before adding: “I think justice is the weak link, with a minister who started out getting plaudits in prison, and who has a vision by being more on the side of the thugs than the victims.”
The GUD “has nothing to do in our country”
While Les Républicains (LR) unveiled two bills on migration policy on Sunday, Thomas Ménagé said: “It’s a copy-paste, almost word for word, of Marine Le Pen’s proposals.” Asked about a possible support of the RN for these proposals, the deputy of Loiret indicated: “Yes, we will look. (…) It’s a copy-paste, so of course, we only have one compass, it’s the general interest of the French.” Asked about a possible dissolution of the Union Defense Group (GUD), a far-right small group, Thomas Ménagé said: “The GUD, in view of what it represents, must probably be dissolved. It has no place in our country since it calls for violent acts and behavior that is not in line with what we wear in the RN.”
