Immigration bill: if article 3 is retained, “we will use all means to prevent” the text from “passing”, warns Éric Ciotti, president of the Republicans

The LR MP believes that the need to regularize undocumented workers, due to a lack of labor in certain sectors, is a “sweet fable”.
While the immigration bill continues its examination in the Senate, Tuesday November 7, the Republicans continue to set their conditions. “There is one point on which we say very clearly that we will never accept it, (…) it is the message of regularization”insists the president of the party, Eric Ciotti, in the “4 Vérités” on France 2. A reference to article 3 of the government text, which plans to grant a one-year renewable residence permit to workers without papers in sectors with labor shortages.
“We will use all means, if there is this dangerous measure, to avoid” that the immigration bill “pass”warns the boss of LR and deputy for Alpes-Maritimes. “Including” the vote on a motion of censure, he confirms.
“We refuse migratory ‘at the same time’”
“We have five million French people, and 400,000 foreigners who are in a regular situation, registered with Pôle emploi. And we would need to go and look for people who are in an irregular situation? It’s a sweet fable, it doesn’t is not realistic”believes Eric Ciotti. “We refuse the ‘at the same time’ migration. We cannot say on the one hand: ‘We are tightening up’, and on the other: ‘We are softening.'”he insisted.
