11 years and then goes away. In 11 years of broadcasting, Michael Cymes managed to teach us things that many did not know about the human body thanks to his eponymous show, “The Extraordinary Powers of the Human Body”broadcast on France 2. With Adriana Karembeu in pairs, the 66-year-old doctor made laugh, educated, and accompanied the French in front of their television. But on July 20, 2023, he will bow out.
In fact, during an interview with Tele-Leisure, the man who criticized the French health system announced the end of his program on Tuesday July 4. Viewers will therefore be entitled to an issue devoted to the microbiota revolution this Thursday, July 6, then another devoted to immortality on Thursday, July 13, and finally another which will address pain on July 20. After that, Michel Cymes will end his show.

Michel Cymes stops!
“With the show’s producer, we always chose the themes addressed, telling ourselves that we had to teach viewers things while being surprised ourselves”first explained the man who discovered a secret of Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine live, before continuing: “There have been advancements in recent years, such as understanding the microbiota… And that’s why ‘The Extraordinary Powers of the Human Body’ will end after the third broadcast. In eleven years of the show, we’ve covered all the aspects of the powers of the human body”.
The doctor, aware of the beauty of Sophie Davant, believes it is time to “to stop”. Also during this interview, he wanted to take stock of the 11 years of broadcasting and assured that no experience has gone wrong. “And fortunately, otherwise I wouldn’t be here to talk about it!”he laughs.
What about its relationship with production? “I still blame them a lot!”he says before showing humor: “Joking, of course! But they all know that I have a fear of heights. And almost systematically, they have always found a way to make me do things that freak me out”. Michael Cymes did not discuss his future, whether within France Televisions or another group. Or if he plans to retire from the media. One thing is certain, he will be missed in the audiovisual landscape… perhaps to better return?
