On October 25, 2022, Raphael de Casabianca was back in a new issue of Our Unknown Lands (France 2). Head to the Vercors mountain range for the 42-year-old presenter. And for this shoot, he was accompanied by singer Claudio Capéo, revealed in 2016 during season 5 of The Voice (TF1). The latter had a moment that he should remember all his life.
Make way for a whole new setting for Claudio Capéo, that of the mountains. And during the filming, Raphaël De Casabianca and him found a man… who was going to lead them into caves. And those of the Vercors are special as the expert pointed out: “Those are vertical chasms.” A revelation that did not really please the artist who dizzy. However, he assured that he was not afraid and therefore equipped himself from head to toe to make this exploration in complete safety.
Once in the cave, Claudio progressed without difficulty until the first descent. “There is a small cord“, he pointed out, not very reassured. Despite everything, he did not flinch even if he admitted that it was not going at all because he was dizzy. To reassure him, the caver offered him to come down at the same time as the presenter, so he got by very well.
But things got tougher on another descent that was much more impressive. “A small 30 meters“, launched Raphaël de Casabianca. While the speleologist was placing the harnesses, it was with shortness of breath that he became aware of what was about to happen. “This time we’re going to go down full empty, it’s even easier you’ll see“, he was told. Not enough to reassure him more. “Here I am not well“, he confessed once a little down. He was then advised not to look down.
Fortunately, he was able to count on Raphaël De Casabianca to support him. “Aren’t you afraid? Why aren’t you afraid“, launched Claudio Capéo panicked. But once at the bottom, he was not a little proud of his achievement and quickly took the presenter and the expert in his arms.I took a slap. I forced myself telling me it was going to be okay. I freaked out“, he concluded.
