Illegal dinners in Koh-Lanta: accused of having participated in it, Laurent Maistret finally comes out of silence

After cheating Teheiura who confessed to asking fishermen for food twice on the set of Koh-Lanta, the legend, the Parisian made new revelations earlier this week. Several candidates would have participated in clandestine dinners on the island of Polynesia where they were to survive. Three times a week, they would have had access to good meals. Without this being confirmed, several names of adventurers have been mentioned, including that of Laurent Maistret. Aberrant accusations according to him which it is about third participation. Indeed, Laurent is an emblematic candidate who had failed at the gates of the finals in 2011 in season 11 but emerged victorious in 2014 in Koh-Lanta: The New Edition.

On the occasion of the 20 years of the show, Laurent Maistret therefore wanted to try his luck again and so far, he is on track to reach the final. During the last episode, he won the orientation event and will then find himself on the posts facing Ugo and Claude. During his adventure, Laurent Maistret was able to discover his physical metamorphosis and his weight loss … not so dazzling. However, he assures him, he did not feed himself thanks to the help of locals. “Estimate, I think I lost 10 kilos. It makes me laugh when I see all these rumors that I cheated while eating outside the game because I was the one who lost the most weight and I felt it“, he underlined during an interview for our colleagues from TV Mag.

Laurent Maistret was even rather happy to have lost weight. “I had never seen myself so traced. I took advantage of this body because I knew that, when I returned, this body would quickly change with all the food I was going to put in my stomach. It was beautiful to see such a sculpted body but in reality it was self-mockery. I was doing the keke in front of the mirror. A lot of people said I was telling it to myself but not at all“, however, he qualified.

Coumba don’t talk to me

If Laurent Maistret did not follow the movement of those who cheated, it was the same when it came to strategies. The former winner of Dance with the stars has in fact never acted like the others, even if it means making enemies. Even today, he has moreover no more contact with Coumba which holds it responsible for its elimination. “Currently, Coumba does not speak to me (laughs). She really thinks I eliminated her. In a way, it is. Even though she doesn’t believe it, I tried to save her. I had already crossed her outside Koh Lanta, I liked her but I can’t say she’s a friend. At the Ambassadors meeting, I didn’t want to play the bastard – even though I had just heard that she tried to kill me – so I tried to defend her as best I could. But if we did not agree on a common vote, it would have been fooled around between Phil and me. I could not go to the draw to save Coumba who had tried to eliminate me“, he defended himself to our colleagues.

Probably resentful, Coumba no longer speaks to Clémence Castel who had also voted against her. “Coumba still doesn’t want to listen to my explanations but when she feels ready to hear them, I’ll be there“, she explained to us in an interview for Purepeople.
