That’s it: the Croisette has put on its most charming assets a few hours before the launch of the 75th edition of the Cannes Film Festival. After two years of Covid-19, the most anticipated event in international cinema is about to begin. On this occasion, Bruce Toussaint spoke in duplex with Vincent Lindon, president of the festival. A friendly exchange that however turned sour. While the actor was talking about his passion for the 7th art and how difficult the task of choosing the Palme d’Or would be for the jury, he was interrupted by the journalist about the release of Elisabeth Borne, freshly named First minister, from Matignon.
Vincent Lindon obviously did not appreciate being stopped dead in his speech for a political fact far from being a priority according to him in the middle of the Cannes Film Festival: “I’ll stop you right away.
