The long-awaited reconstruction of the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge has entered the final stage of the process with the start of the call for proposals, shortening the planning of the work on the link between Vaudreuil-Dorion and Senneville by 18 months.

At the end of this last stage, the Ministère des Transports will entrust the project to the candidate who has offered the best technical and financial proposal.

Scheduled for 2023, the signing of the contract will mark the start of construction work on the future bridge, which is to include three lanes of traffic in each direction, as well as a two-way multipurpose track.
