The Israeli army launched a new offensive on Al-Shifa hospital, the largest in Gaza, on the night of March 17-18. The IDF says it has eliminated 20 Hamas fighters and taken dozens of prisoners.
The images are provided by the Israeli army: we see IDF men entering Al-Shifa hospital, in Gaza, at 2:30 a.m. During the night, a resident filmed the chaotic evacuation of dozens of occupants from the hospital, by the light of flashlights. This is the fourth time that the Israeli army has carried out a major operation in the largest hospital complex in the Palestinian enclave.
IDF claims to have killed an executive responsible for coordinating Hamas activities
The authorities claim to have had information about the presence of senior Hamas officers within the premises of the establishment. “Hamas continues to use hospitals as bastions of terror, using the most vulnerable as human shields”, said Avi Human, the Israeli government spokesperson. Inside, the IDF claims to have killed 20 fighters including Faik al-Mabhouh, an executive responsible for coordinating Hamas activities. His death was broadcast by Arab television.
