The ICI Première schedule is undergoing changes. world time will leave the antenna and will be replaced by a new information program piloted by Madeleine Blais-Morin.
This daily magazine, which does not yet have a title, will go on the air next fall, Radio-Canada announced on Monday. It airs weekdays at 6 p.m. Jean-Sébastien Bernatchez, who hosts world time for more than eight years, “will be given a new assignment,” said the public broadcaster in a press release. The last of world time airs August 18.
Journalist at Radio-Canada since 2000 and parliamentary correspondent in Ottawa since 2007, Madeleine Blais-Morin was also a senior analyst on federal policy and, since 2019, head of the parliamentary office of Radio-Canada.
In writing, the main interested party said she was “honored” to obtain such a mandate. For her part, the Director General of Information at Radio-Canada, Luce Julien, indicated that it was a sort of homecoming for Madeleine Blais-Morin, since it is on the radio that cut her teeth in Regina and Halifax. “She has an in-depth knowledge of Canadian news and international issues that affect the country’s Francophones,” she said.
