(Seattle) Ichiro Suzuki will be inducted into the Seattle Mariners Hall of Fame in the 2022 season, the team announced Wednesday.

Suzuki will be honored on August 27, in a game against the Cleveland Guardians.

Suzuki spent nearly 14 seasons with the Mariners before announcing his retirement in March 2019, after the team began their season at home in Japan.

He has appeared in the All-Star game 10 times, won 10 Golden Gloves, two Silver Sticks, was named 2001 Rookie of the Year and MVP in his first season with the Mariners.

Suzuki also wore the New York Yankees and Miami Marlins uniforms.
