As of 3:30 p.m. Monday, 14,570 homes were still without power across the province. As since the start of Wednesday’s ice storm, the Montreal region remains the most affected with a total of 9,773 customers still in the dark, followed by Outaouais (2,182), Montérégie (1 528) and Laval (1,069).

“Rest assured that we are doing everything we can to restore service as soon as possible,” Hydro-Québec said on Twitter.

“Almost all of the outages should be resolved today,” the state-owned company said on Monday.

Hydro-Quebec deployed nearly 1,600 workers on the ground Monday to restore service to customers still without electricity.

“Since the beginning of the freezing rain storm, more than 95% of the customers affected have found the power,” he said.
