According to the IT company, the project will create 250 new jobs in the city’s technology industry.

The center will provide consulting services and technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence, hybrid cloud computing and blockchain.

The focus will be to help corporate clients use technology to achieve their sustainability and carbon neutrality goals.

The Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund, a city-owned economic development fund, will contribute up to $5 million towards the establishment of the centre.

Calgary has seen significant growth in its tech sector in recent years as the city strives to diversify its economy based on oil and natural gas.
